Position: Grinder/ Polisher Reports to: Department Supervisor Position Statues: Non-Exempt Position Summary : Cleans products by grinding away unwanted material Duties and Responsibilities: + Safely operate hand-held power tools for grinding and polishing. + Clean product by grinding/deburring away unwanted material + Separate product by part number + Ability to use electric grinders and pneumatic grinders. + Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety. + Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contain dust, odors and noise. + Work well under pressure. + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Physical Demands + Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently. + Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more. + Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary. + Must be able to bend and squat frequently. + Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily. Required Knowledge and/or Experience + High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). + Minimum of six months of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience. + Ability to read English. + Ability to work and communicate effectively with others. Pay Rate: $17.70 – $19.00 per hour Freedman Seating determines pay based on several factors, including but not limited to the position being offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
