Grinder/shop Labor
**Job Title: Grinder/Shop Labor** **Job Description** The role involves grinding metal parts to ensure precise tolerances using belt grinders and hand grinders. Responsibilities include assisting with plant cleanup in the foundry and occasionally helping with mold machine operations and other departments as needed. This is a day shift position with regular hours from 4 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays. **Responsibilities** + Grind metal parts using belt and hand grinders. + Assist with plant cleanup in the foundry. + Utilize loose fitting respirator while grinding. + Support mold machine operations and other departments as needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience with general labor. + Ability to perform metal grinding and deburring. + Physical capability to lift 50 lbs throughout the day. + Comfortable working in a hot industrial environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must be comfortable wearing a loose fitting respirator for grinding tasks. + Familiarity with industrial machinery and using metal disc and belt grinders. **Why Work Here?** The company offers competitive pay and room for advancement. The work involves being around heavy machinery and equipment in a loud setting. Personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, high visibility vest, and a loose fitting respirator in some departments, is required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
