Grinding Engineer (1st Shift – 6a to 2p, M-F)

o Normally Monday thru Friday but may require other days as needed   

o Normally First(1st)  Shift but may require additional hours or other shifts as needed

Job Description

1 Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations.Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.Train production personnel in new or existing methods.Prepare production for customer demands and new product development.Acts as a Seco leader in the following capacities:CommunicatorCommunicates in a clearly and directlyLeads change and acts as a role modelExplains goals and prioritiesDecision MakerBusiness minded and results-orientedCourageousTakes responsibility, does what needs to be doneDrives continuous improvementCoachPositive mindset and opportunity focusedCaring and easy to accessListens, supports, and recognizes employee contributionsEmpowers employees, not solving problems aloneReviews performance and gives constructive feedbackOther duties as assigned
