Job Title: Network Planning Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Network Planning Manager oversees the efficient planning and coordination of outbound Feeder ground operations, ensuring that all logistics meet safety, legal, and operational standards. This role requires a strong focus on managing resources, enhancing system processes, and providing support for ground transportation planning. The Network Planning Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team, optimizing performance, and collaborating across departments to improve the flow of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Feeder Planning: Ensure optimal planning for balance and feeder operations. Position containers and manage loading to ensure all flights and vans are correctly loaded, compliant with regulations, and safely dispatched.Team Leadership and Resource Management: Supervise, develop, and mentor department personnel, ensuring high performance and efficient resource utilization. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment with emphasis on communication, cooperation, and continuous improvement.Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety policies, operational procedures, and all local government requirements for ground logistics. Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all activities related to planning, documentation, and communication with other operations teams.Operational Coordination: Oversee data movement from planning phases to production, managing the flow between planning and execution for feeder operations. Ensure seamless communication with other departments to maintain operational consistency and safety.System Maintenance and Support: Maintain the Network Information System (NIS) and other planning tools, providing expertise to both the Planning and IT teams. Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of logistics operations.Training and Development: Provide comprehensive orientation, skills training, and continuous development to team members. Implement personal development plans and conduct regular evaluations to foster professional growth within the team.Scheduling and Shift Management: Ensure availability and flexibility to work across multiple shifts to meet operational demands. Supervise shift-based planning activities, ensuring timely and accurate execution of loading procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university is required.Experience in Network Operations: Proven experience in logistics, network planning, or related fields with an understanding of both air and ground transportation systems.Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral formats. Experience in preparing detailed reports, coordinating with other departments, and liaising with external stakeholders.Technological Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to retrieve and manage data from multiple systems, including Network Information Systems (NIS) and other logistics tools.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to manage and resolve complex logistical challenges under pressure, balancing multiple tasks with competing priorities.Leadership and Team Management: Experience leading a diverse team, promoting a cooperative and proactive work culture, and driving team performance.Availability and Flexibility: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the smooth operation of Feeder schedules.Safety and Compliance Focus: Knowledge of safety regulations, operational policies, and compliance requirements specific to ground transportation operations.Physical Requirements: Must meet local age and operational requirements to operate a vehicle, with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
