Title:
Ground Segment Systems EngineerKBR is seeking experienced Ground Segment Systems Engineers to support the US Space Force (USSF) in architecting, developing, testing, and accrediting ground control segments for programs within the Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SDACP) Directorate. Positions are located in El Segundo, CA and Dulles, VA.
Primary duties include:
Applies expertise in all technical recommendations made and included in program documentation on ground control segment architectures as it pertains to integration with command and control (C2) applications and systemsDevelops and documents program ground architectures such as DoDAF architecture views and Information Support PlansSupport various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, design, interface management, configuration control, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessmentsManage ground segment technical and interface requirements including mission partner integration and validation and verification testing of all interface connections Support development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes, epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development effortsDevelops, updates, coordinates, and collaborates with program support team composed of multi-disciplined engineers for all program documentationQualifications
Required:
Master’s of Science in Engineering or related discipline (software, systems, network, aerospace engineering, etc) and 10 years or more of experienceActive Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Programs; willing to consent to a polygraph examinationDeep understanding of mission planning at all levels throughout lifecycle: strategic, operational, and tacticalKnowledgeable with government Deficiency Review (DR) processes to include board establishment, execution, and DR disposition and managementFluent in the fields of DoD Information Assurance processes to include but not limited to design, testing, certification, and accreditationExperience with technical program management, systems engineering, and government acquisition of supporting ground segment infrastructures/services and space systemsProficient in Software Systems Engineering, Design, and Architecture Development concepts and modern technologies to support ground segment integrationPreferred:
5 years of experience in DoD software acquisition programsExpertise in ground antenna architectures, frequencies, spectrums, and transmission ratesTarget salary range for El Segundo
$175,000……………$215,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
