Pegasus Aviation Services is looking for a Ground Service Equipment Technician to work in Anchorage, AK.
The GSE Technician I is responsible for detailing and cleaning all ground support equipment cabs, engines, compartments and providing support on all ground support equipment and will maintain the appearance of all ground support equipment. (Motorized and non-motorized, gasoline and diesel fueled)
The GSE Tech I is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Lead GSE/Tech IV.
Responsibilities
Maintains appearance of all ground service equipment
Assists Mechanics when needed
Operates ground service equipment (GSE)
Cleans engines (gasoline and diesel)
Performs oil change PM’s on light equipment
Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times
Observes safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks
Fueling of all company vehicles
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor and Manager
Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a valid driver’s license
Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
High School graduate or GED
Must be willing to work in inclement weather
Good communication skills
Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably
Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints
Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative
Able and willing to work without direct supervision
Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and pre-employment drug test
May be required to travel up to 25% of the time
Accept all other assigned duties as a team

The GSE Tech I on occasion may lift or move with help up to 60 pounds, and/or more frequently lift or move 70 to 100 pounds with help. The GSE Tech I is regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, and is frequently required to stand, walk. The GSE may be required to climb, sit, and balance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
The GSE Technician I is usually working outside and is exposed to all types of weather conditions with a seasonal range of temperatures which include rain, snow, wind and extreme temperatures.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can vary dramatically depending on location and time of day. Occasionally high noise levels where hearing protection is required and provided.
