WHAT WE PROVIDE: 

This is a Full-Time, year-round position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, in San Antonio, TX. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Lead a 25+ person team in the cleaning and upkeep of facilities and grounds, including supervising early morning facility prep, daily grounds maintenance detailing, and overnight tasks such as emptying dumpsters and parking lot cleaning. Oversee cleanliness of park for special events including staffing and external temporary labor needs. Oversee the maintenance aspects of the Operations division equipment, ensuring that all tools and machinery are in good working condition. Additionally, maintain park cleanliness, equipment maintenance, work with the department scheduler, interview applicants for employment, manage labor and operational expenses, and more, all to ensure a premium guest experience.

 

HOW YOU WILL DO IT: Maximize use of supervisory team. Elevate department pride by building and maintaining a positive, high performance team culture resulting in increased retention, motivation, and overall team morale. Conduct daily walkthroughs of all guest and employee areas to ensure highest standards of cleanliness, for a premium guest experience. Ensure adequate staffing is available for catered outings and special events. Order, distribute, and maintain adequate levels of cleaning supplies. Oversee and train for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to facilities, floors and fixtures. Oversee preventative maintenance for the Operations equipment and coordinate outside services for specialized equipment maintenance. Responsible for the placement, repair and replacement of facility furniture and trash cans. Practice, support and enforce a total safety culture by adhering to all park policies. Develop and execute training plan; as well as conduct ongoing training for active team members. Deliver first class guest service and set the example for all team members. Responsible for sourcing and securing additional external vendors/ cleaning providers. Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained, including requesting additional assistance for special events. Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the Park Service Department and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: At least 18 years of age A valid State Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Park Driver’s License. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and overtime as needed. Superior problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Strong proficiency of commercial cleaning equipment and procedures and or a proficiency in mechanical maintenance including a strong working knowledge of tools. A clear commitment to total safety including knowledge of Safety Data Sheets. Proficient computer and administrative skills, including organization, budget control, and time management. A Team First attitude and a people-oriented approach to leadership. Commitment to the “Guest First” philosophy Excellent communication skills to include both verbal and written format. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in order to meet critical deadlines in a demanding fast paced environment. Ability and willingness to work in all-weather elements such as sun, heat, cold, wind and rain. Previous management experience preferred

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. Reports to the Director of Operations.
