Job Summary

Facilities Maintenance is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs to the building and grounds of the office. Also responsible for performing basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and other multiple maintenance activities across the facility.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Works under general supervision; relies on experience and general instructions to perform the functions of the jobPerforms regular, preventative maintenance on the building and groundsAssists in repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and others to maintain the building in good working conditionUses hand tools and other small machinery to perform dutiesOrders supplies and parts as requiredPerforms regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and buildingMaintains records of repair and maintenance activitiesPerforms duties consistent with established safety rules and proceduresMaintains work area clean and organizedPerforms other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum high school diplomaMinimum 3 years of formal on-the-job training in general maintenanceWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practicesMust be at least 18 years of age
