Our rustic yet elegant Adirondack-style lodge and spectacular cottage collection is perched alongside quiet lake waters and the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, while surrounded by 1,900 picture-perfect, “Close to Nature” park acres. Overview Stonewall Resort “Open Interviews” will be held on Wednesday March 12th, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Please apply online prior to the event. : Serves as member of a team responsible for performing custodial and maintenance activities for park grounds, roadsides, landscaping, facilities, and equipment. - Must be well groomed. Dress requirements include assigned uniform with nametag. Uniform and nametag must be worn at all times while working on the property. - Must be well-mannered, greet guests and employees when encountered, and show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times. - Uses riding lawn tractor, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to maintain grounds and landscaping. Cleans and maintains equipment to be used. Treats all equipment with care and respect. Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner. - Performs light custodial operations on park grounds as needed, i.e., cleaning, sweeping stones from roadways, trash collection, cleaning pavilions, etc. - Reports problems encountered on site to supervisor immediately. Takes appropriate steps to address emergency situations. - Paints and maintains buildings, picnic tables, docks, etc. Performs light carpentry work, as needed. - Participates in snow removal processes. - Plants flowers, shrubs, trees, landscaping, and sod. Mulch and edge beds. Prepares beds for planting of materials. Pulls weeds. Uses hose to water plantings. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: To assist other departments as required. Will perform additional duties as requested. TYPICAL SCHEDULE: Weekdays from 7AM until 3:30PM. Evenings, holidays and weekends, as needed. Overtime with and without notice. Schedule may change due to weather. ENVIRONMENT: In and out doors setting, sun, heat, cold, snow, and rain. Qualifications Experience in Grounds Maintenance and/or Landscaping is helpful. Ability to communicate in written and oral forms. Ability to work independently and in team setting. Ability to interact well with others in a professional manner. Ability to operate a variety of small equipment and hand tools in safe manner. Ability to adjust and learn new equipment and procedures.
