**Job Title** Grounds Supervisor **Job Description Summary** The employee will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Park Event Supervisor and perform a variety of grounds keeping and Porter duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. Performs routine grounds maintenance, event setup and takedown, and minor facilities maintenance tasks. May include watering, raking, mowing, weeding, planting, and trash/litter removal. Operates truck and/or powered grounds equipment. **Job Description** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** : • Schedule proper coverage • Keep inventory and order supplies • Sweep, mop, and wash floors, and other surfaces • Use light and heavy power washing machines including attachments • Collect Park trash daily placing it in approved container and place in designated collection area for subsequent removal • Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specs • Any and all other duties as assigned **Specific Responsibilities** • Operates hand and power tools used in grounds • Assist in pest control, i.e., snakes, ants, bees, wasps, etc. • Assists in the set-up and tear-down of chairs, tables, etc. for events around campus • Assists in irrigation repairs • Assists in maintenance repairs • Assists other tradesmen in minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and painting. • Irrigates/waters landscaped areas as needed • Picks up and disposes of litter around the park • Assist in safely remove homeless people from your property without putting anyone in danger, calling security or local law enforcement. Police are equipped to handle these situations and can safely take the person elsewhere. • Assists with small construction tasks such as excavating and handling and/or transportation of equipment and materials • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices • Respond to emergency calls and work requests as required • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned **Safety Duties:** • Ensure safe working conditions and practices are being maintained in areas under his/her care • Report safety violations to Custodial Manager • Assist as required and cooperate with all other facilities tradespeople, custodians, security, maintenance, or groundskeepers in the performance of day-to-day duties and responsibilities C&W Services is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative​ Action employer.
