**39017BR** **Extended Job Title:** Groundskeeper - Athletics **Position Description:** Performs moderately heavy manual work in the care and maintenance of grounds including the care and maintenance of plants, shrubs, lawns, and the installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems. **Requisition ID:** 39017BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Support all outdoor athletic competitions prior to, during, and following events. + Collect debris and weeds, water trees, shrubs, and flowers in planting beds and turf areas. + Observe areas maintained and report all problems and/or hazards to the Superintendent. + Assist in repairs of irrigation systems, including digging lines, and replacing heads and valves. + Plant trees, shrubs, ground cover, and annual flowers. Provide general field maintenance support for tennis/softball, baseball, track, soccer, and football facilities. + Prepare competition fields for Big 12 and NCAA events.
