\n \n Job Description

Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of a single, large-scale community. As such, they will work outside and must be able to withstand hot and cold weather. Common duties include emptying trash cans and doggy stations, picking up trash, making small repairs to facilities such as replacing a lightbulb or touching-up paint, managing vendors for larger tasks like repairs to furniture or structures, and bringing needed projects to the General Manager’s attention. Annual maintenance tasks like pressure washing, wood staining, and winterizing will also be completed. Candidate should be organized and willing to help maintain records of maintenance performed.

Duties include but are not limited to:

\n\nHandle basic preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.\nEmpty and replenish trash cans and doggy stations daily.\nKeep the grounds in a clean and attractive manner.\nMonitor the upkeep and maintenance of the landscaping and grounds daily.\nCleans sidewalks and disposes of debris and trash properly.\nAssist other staff and vendors with larger maintenance repairs or projects.\nClimb a ladder to inspect issues related to guttering.\nComplete homeowner maintenance requests as directed by the General Manager.\n\n

Knowledge and Skills

\n\nKnowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting,
regulations, etc.)\nKnowledge of how to complete minor handyman-type tasks.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nInterpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\n\n

\n Requirements\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmployee must drive and have a reliable vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed. Must be comfortable walking long distances. Ideal candidate will have handyman experience. Employee will frequently interact with residents and the client and must have good communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word) is preferred. Candidate should be self-motivated and observant and willing to take ownership of all aspects of maintenance of this large-scale development. Majority of their time will be spent outside, onsite. Weekend and evening work will be related to community events like movies in the park, firepit nights, food truck nights, etc. and will require some resident interaction.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
