Group Account Director

Role Overview

As the Group Account Director, you will lead a team of Account Directors and/or Managers in developing and executing innovative media strategies for our clients. Your role will involve fostering strong client partnerships, providing an exceptional client experience, guiding campaign planning and execution, using the relevant Mediahub tools and planning process (IGNITE) and ensuring that our agency consistently challenges the norms of media to deliver exceptional results and value to clients.

Responsibilities

The Work

Works with senior client team members and other internal departments to ensure that the briefs we receive will set our clients business up for success Ensures that Account Directors and Managers are set up for success in delivering plans that exceed client demands Is responsible for challenging the team and agency to find new ways of reaching audiences in a meaningful way that will lead to success Is the bastion of IGNITE (Mediahub's planning process) within the agency, ensuring that all campaigns follow the process and teams are educated on it to a high degree Evaluates all client deliverables before they are presented to ensure that the qualities expected are met Embed Mediahub and Mediabrands proprietary Data, Tools & Technology (DTT) to drive client outcomes. Enable platform and technology capabilities across the planning output.

Client Service

Take full ownership of a smaller client account after 6 months within the role as Group Account Director. This is dependent on opportunities available within the business. Leading day-to-day mid level client relationships and nurturing the relationship by delivering high standards of client satisfaction. Increase your profile to senior clients to develop your own relationships with those clients Identify and mitigate potential risks (with support of the Business Director) that could impact the client and our relationship with them. Embodies the ‘Challenger Mindset’ by being proactive in developing ideas and initiatives that will benefit out clients and their business. Develops relationships with senior media owner stakeholders, understanding where Mediahub can work with them to a positive commercial advantage for both

Commercial 

Has a full understanding of commercial agreements between clients and agency Has in depth knowledge of all Mediahub proprietary tools and services Identifies opportunities where to grow organic revenue on client and works with Business Director to sell in new tools and services Work alongside the Business Director to manage client contracts and scope of work, ensuring all contractual commitments are delivered against. Overseeing the delivery of your teams work in collaboration with the Business Director. Ensures that all direct reports and juniors within the direct team understand the Media Booking and Reconciliation process and successfully complete all reconciliations.

Career Development & Team Management

Train, mentor and support the Account Manager/s within your team. Notably, supporting the AD and AMs with career development conversations for the Executive/s and MBP/s. Be an Industry Leader, leveraging your expertise to help grow those internally Support the Business Director with managing resource needs and active involvement in recruitment for your client team Work with the Business Director to set the tone for your team, living out Mediahub’s values daily and instilling that in how your team works together.

 

Desired Skills & Experience Strong planning experience and media knowledge across both online and traditional channels Experience of managing campaigns across UK and Europe (desired) Is Agile in their approach and able to run fast at new opportunities. Embraces a ‘Challenger mindset’ in the delivery of all work and in leading the team. Excellent client servicing skills and experience building strong client relationships Prior experience as a Account Director within the Media & Advertising Industry and running a media team, delivering award worthy work
