Job Summary:

The Group Facilitator is responsible for assisting the Clinical Team in assigned treatment procedures. The Group Facilitator is responsible for providing education and supervision to clients/patients while modeling appropriate behavior and providing a safe/therapeutic environment. The Group Facilitator will also be required to carry a small case load.

Key Responsibilities: 

Prepares and presents in approved format, educational materials to clients. Provides an environment for learning and discussion that is safe, supportive, respectful, and culturally sensitive. Acquires adult education training as identified and scheduled by supervisor. Evaluates and communicates client participation in groups to team members. Documents client attendance, level of participation, synopsis, and summary of each group facilitated. Observes and maintains standards in accordance with agency policy and procedure. Documents services appropriately and timely using agency approved formats in an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Documenting services that clearly describe the need for the service, the intervention provided, the date, actual time and setting of the service, and the individual’s response to the service. Immediately reports situations, which in the reasonable judgment of the staff may indicate an immediate threat to the physical or psychological wellbeing of clients or staff immediately or as prudently possible to supervisor or other, available supervisory person. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function.Other duties as assigned.Collaborate with clients, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.Utilize strengths-based, evidence-based approaches like Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, etc.Provide behavioral interventions and evidence-based practices.Coordinate care with other providers like physicians, schools, organizations.Maintain accurate client records and documentation.Participate in staff training and development activities.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.Work collaboratively with team members for coordinated client care.Develop relationships with stakeholders involved in client's care.Prepare for and facilitate group therapy sessions.

Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field; OREmployees in this position may be required to apply for Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II (MAADC II) credential after being hired into role.
