Group Facilitator/Casework Coordinator

Position Overview: 

The Group Facilitator / Casework Coordinator under close supervision of the Director of Safe Harbor Services, is responsible for providing trafficking services at The Children’s Center in NYC. Caseworkers will conduct screenings, assessments and refer youth to appropriate services, adhering to the guidance and procedures outlined in ACS Policy and Procedure Identifying, Assessing and Safety Planning with Child Sex and Labor Trafficking Victims.  The Group Facilitator / Casework Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating a therapeutic curriculum that promotes healing for youth who have experienced trafficking or have been identified at high-risk. They will be required to submit timely documentation group work, casework, collecting data, and the direct reporting to oversight agencies and stakeholders. The Group Facilitator / Casework Coordinator will also engage in safety planning and provide follow up with youth as needed.

Position Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in social work or another related field.Prior work experience in social service, mental health, or child welfare field preferred. Prior experience facilitating groups and organizing preferred.Knowledge of Connections and similar documentation softwareValid Driver’s license.Solid written and verbal skills, including ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.Ability to engage clients, liaison with service provers and Children's Center partners in a professional manner.Bi-lingual preferred but not required.

Full- Time Work Schedule:
