About the Function

The Group FP&A Team is at the heart of the financial planning, analysis and insight generation for the company. We coordinate/lead global financial performance processes end to end (P/L, Cash, Reward) and connected to a variety of stakeholders including regions, strategy, and various teams across finance. 

About the Role

Purpose of the Role

This role partners with & reports to the Group FP&A In Year Performance Senior Manager and is based in Budapest as part of the Global Strategic Finance and Performance Management team.

There is a wide range of business partners, from analyst level to senior stakeholders, both in business units and within central teams with whom effective, supportive and challenging business relationships are essential in order to achieve all objectives and fulfil all the accountabilities of the role. This role will also work closely with the Group FP&A Performance Junior Manager & Senior Analyst and will play a supporting role in their development. 

Top Accountabilities

Proactively provide high quality monthly insights and analysis on drivers of Diageo’s holistic performance (Financials such as NSV, Margin and Mix, as well as market share & ESG) to Diageo’s Exec and Board, through reports such as the Exec O&R pack, Actuals Exec Summary, and others.

Establish a forward looking and disciplined FP&A rhythm with planning calendars communicated proactively to regions/markets, identifying opportunities to standardise and automate where appropriate, following up on actions and capturing insights   

Support the Group FP&A Senior Analyst who prepares the Group VMPC tool in driving insights

Decision Support on questions from the CFO/Exec/Chairman regarding financials, trends or scenarios as needed

Partner closely with Investor Relations / Controller’s team on preparation of analysis in January & July to support the external communication of drivers of H1 and FY performance.  

Ensure appropriate control environment and controls are in place

About You

8-10 years of finance professional experience

FP&A/Commercial finance experience in a leadership role, ideally within FMCG environment.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy and focus on quality delivery

Self motivated and organised approach

Ability to achieve results by working with other teams around the world.

Demonstrated ability of building and sustaining close working relationships and influencing Senior management.

Excellent business English, with ability to communicate and influence stakeholders

Good understanding of financial/management reporting PC skills / System knowledge: MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and group reporting and consolidation tool preferable but not essential (i.e. BFC)
