Job DescriptionThe Purchasing department is responsible for acquiring goods and services for the Ubisoft group. Its main missions are to reduce costs, provide quality service to internal clients, and manage external risks. To achieve these objectives, the Purchasing department must contribute to the creation and management of the group purchasing community through benchmarking, coordination, sharing best practices and tools, and using a common framework.
The main objective of the role is to ensure the long-term optimization of costs and risk management for recurring IT procurement categories. The primary clients of the IT Buyer are the IT department and, to a lesser extent, the development studios.
In alignment with the purchasing policy set by management, your responsibilities will include:
Managing strategic sourcing to identify opportunities for procurement performance (consolidation, global sourcing, engagement duration, etc.);Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring the implementation and use of contracts;Preparing the requested reports for these activities, leveraging existing tools and processes;Maintaining regular communication with key internal stakeholders and actively contributing to the development of relationships with key players;Keeping informed of trends and best procurement practices as part of continuous market monitoring;Maintaining close ties with the supply chain team regarding potential supplier responsiveness issues, feedback from internal clients, and new contracts;Implementing a mid- to long-term strategy for key IT suppliers to manage costs, risks, and quality;Managing the procurement of IT solutions related to game production or integrated into our games (Middleware), if required.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you have solid operational experience as an IT buyer, managing projects from the sourcing phase to contract negotiation and follow-up.
