Essential Functions:

▪ Work closely with the Production Supervisor, assign specific tasks to team members to achieve priorities

▪ Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and the leadership team

▪ Assist Supervisor with ensuring all team members are actively engaged in meeting production demands

▪ Monitor the material requirements for upcoming production by communicating with the Warehouse

▪ Facilitating the movement of material to and from the production lines as well as perform material handling as required

▪ Act as back-up to the Production Supervisor(s)

▪ Rotate with other leads and Supervisors as needed to become well versed on Operations ▪ Aid on production lines as needed

▪ Ability to take a customer order from beginning to end

▪ Comply with all plant policies, practices and procedures

▪ Proficient in interpreting blueprints and routings

▪ In coordination with the Production Supervisor, facilitate training for all new, contract and current employees to assure quality parts are being produced per customer requirements.

o Assist with orientation training for all contract and new personnel

o Train all current personnel on any revisions and new products/processes, as they are introduced

o Regularly communicate with the Production Supervisor on training progress

▪ Audit and report out on various aspects of production: Safety, Quality, Cleaning checklists, Work instructions and others as needed.

▪ Work with the Production Supervisor and Engineering, as necessary for any identified drawing inconsistencies

▪ Identify opportunities for improvements and work with the leadership team to implement

▪ Keep area organized and clean

Qualifications:

▪ High school diploma/GED required

▪ Ability to work required overtime

▪ Ability to maintain confidentiality

▪ Work effectively with limited supervision

▪ Positively motivate and effectively direct team members

▪ Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal

▪ Remain in good standing by DCI policy

▪ Possess knowledge of department product, procedures, and equipment

▪ Minimal of 1-year leadership experience

▪ Fork truck certification is required

▪ Flexibility and agility in an ever-changing environment

▪ Consistent attendance and punctuality

▪ Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Stand or sit for an extended amount of time

• Working in and/or around loud machinery

• The ability to handle repetitive motion
