Position Overview:
As part of the talented Operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating efforts to verify all inventory control strategies are implemented correctly, efficiently, and effectively within the material handling function, supporting the Production Supervisor with the day-to-day management of their material processing area, overseeing a group of members, and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets. Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely. Monitoring accuracy and reliability of product and inventory using software tools.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational successMonitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company proceduresCarry out incidents, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closureMonitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systemsConsistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of themCommunicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverablesProvide product expertise within the team and respond to team members’ queriesWork positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the teamComplete data entries and utilize appropriate systemsEnsure engineering documentation is accurateEnsure daily goals and targets are metProvide targets or daily goals to the team per the production or priority schedulesManage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reporting and regularly communicate findings (verbally & documented)Ensure accurate & efficient flow and organization of materials via interdepartmental relationshipsInvestigate and solve problems resulting from material shortages and inventory discrepanciesPerform production/inventory audits on a regular basisProvide monthly status report on aging inventory in coordination with supply chainAudit transaction history for accuracyImprove processes related to material picking, inventory control, and production team efficiencyConduct and provide inventory trend analysis identifying changes for process improvementSupport all departments which rely on internal movement of inventoryFollow and maintain cycle counting programExplain variances over pre-determined thresholds and recommend process changes to prevent recurrencesOversee and manage on-site training for warehouse personnel. Direct supervision of employees including recruitment, performance management, and trainingMaintain physical condition of inventory by planning and implementing new design layouts considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored (slotting)Operate a forklift and other equipment to move and store materials and supplies in support of high demand periodsOversee shipping, receiving and kitting functions as applicableCommunicate with the Production SupervisorAll other duties assignedDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of Warehouse Management SystemsExperience with cycle counting, root cause analysis and trainingSlotting and Inventory Management experienceDemonstrated problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve issuesStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a wide range of employees to meet departmental goalsThe ability to handle multiple projectsExperience with MS OfficeLean Six Sigma and 5S principal experience preferredEnsure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, always Sustain) practicesEnsure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly · Ensure all records are completed appropriately Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregatedEnsure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followedEnsure achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets.Ensure the team are aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilitiesManage work order closures and stock control transactionsMaintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructionsMonitor change over and/or line set up efficiencyPrepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece buyoffsMonitor and maintain all safety equipment and toolsUndertake continuous training and developmentPerform root cause analysis and resolve problemsIdentify business improvement opportunities within the organizationIdentify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as requiredConduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the departmentFollow Hazardous waste guidelines and functionsPreferred Qualifications:

The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
