What you will be doing

The Group Product Manager – Omni-Channel Item Management will oversee the strategy, development, and execution of scalable item management solutions for seamless omni-channel retail operations. This role is responsible for managing a team of product managers and driving cross-functional initiatives to improve item lifecycle management, data governance, and customer experiences across digital and physical retail channels.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned product leader with expertise in item management systems, omni-channel retail operations, and team leadership, capable of delivering innovative solutions that optimize item accuracy, availability, and operational efficiency

The position will be based in Arlington, TX.

Main responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision

Define and drive the strategic roadmap for omni-channel item management platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs. Identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance item setup, enrichment, synchronization, and governance processes across all channels. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve item management capabilities.

Team Leadership and Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a high-performance culture. Oversee the team’s execution of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery. Provide strategic guidance and ensure the team is aligned on priorities, KPIs, and customer-centric goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with engineering, data science, merchandising, supply chain, Marketing, Health and store operations teams to deliver robust item management solutions. Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, address pain points, and ensure seamless item availability. Build relationships with third-party content providers and platforms (e.g., Syndigo, GDSN, Salsify etc.) to enhance omni-channel item management capabilities.

Data Governance and Quality

Establish and oversee data governance policies to ensure item data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all channels. Collaborate with data teams to define key metrics for monitoring item data performance and quality. Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI/ML technologies for data validation, enrichment, and categorization.

Product Execution and Delivery

Own the full product lifecycle for omni-channel item management solutions, from concept and requirements gathering to launch and optimization. Set clear objectives, define user stories, and manage cross-team dependencies to deliver high-quality products. Measure and report on the impact of item management initiatives, using data to continuously improve systems and processes.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

Communicate product vision, progress, and impact to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Act as the primary point of contact for omni-channel item management initiatives, ensuring stakeholder alignment. Advocate for a customer-first approach in item management processes to enhance Omni item data completeness and accuracy.

What we are searching for 

Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent. Deep understanding of omni-channel retail operations, item lifecycle management, and data workflows. Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms. Knowledge of AI/ML applications in data enrichment and validation is a plus. Collaborative leader with a bias for action and results. Exceptional communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. Customer-centric mindset with a passion for innovation in omni-channel retail.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree highly preferred. 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in retail, omni-channel operations, or item management systems. Proven track record of leading and scaling product teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience with item management platforms (e.g., PIM, DAM, ERP), data governance tools, and APIs. Strong background in managing cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable business impact.
