As Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Marmon IEI product management team, including product management planning and execution overseeing the success of the overall product portfolio. This role will evaluate, plan, execute, and monitor initiatives to achieve growth and profitability objectives for the group. The Group Product Manager will work closely position with all functions of the company including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal to implement strategies that align with long term business goals.
Essential Duties:
Team Leadership
Lead the product management team, developing a vision for how the team operates, creating and maintaining processes and metrics to drive functional excellence aligned with long-term business objectives.
Ensure the team successfully manages end-to-end execution of these efforts and that well thought-out strategies materialize into measurable business impact.
Create a culture of professional growth and development, acting as a coach, mentor, and enabler of development opportunities within the team.
Be a key stakeholder in the strategic planning and development process for Marmon IEI.
Strategic Marketing
Support the development and lead the execution and tracking of the strategic marketing plan (SMP) for the overall business working across functional groups to ensure key actions and metrics are on track to meet overall business objectives.
Manage internal market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, as part of the strategic marketing plan development process and publish MI report every other month for business monitoring.
Monitor and analyze competitors' products and strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.
Develop and maintain the VOC collection process and use customer insights to inform product strategies.
Product Management
Own the development and execution of the overall product strategy and roadmap for the Marmon IEI product portfolio.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product portfolio and drive continuous improvement.
Lead the product lifecycle management process, including price setting and management, managing product introduction maturity and sunsetting, and product roadmap development.
Support the team in developing product roadmaps, prioritizing features and enhancements that align with business goals and customer requirements.
Manage new product growth funnel, ensuring product vitality metrics are on track to meet 3-year target.
Identify potential risks and challenges related to product development and deployment and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Establish value pricing strategies based on voice of customer feedback, product positioning, market intelligence, and analyzing key trends. Manage special price requests.
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of the product strategy. Partner to ensure quality and delivery are in line with market expectations.
Establish cadence within the team for developing sales enablement materials and sales collateral to enhance product marketing efforts and improve product positioning.
Manage IP & Trademarks for Marmon IEI product portfolio working with Corporate and Marmon IEI Engineering teams.

Education and Experience Preferred:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering.
Proven track record of success in product management, marketing or sales of 10 - 15 years of experience (3-5 years in leadership position).
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards excellence.
Individual must be a “strategic thinker” and have the ability to develop long term strategic plans. Differentiation, Innovation, Engineered Solutions and Value Proposition must be at the core of this.
Practical experience collaborating with engineering and R&D teams to drive new product development initiatives.
Knowledge and experience in the wire and cable industry preferred.
Master’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
Required to travel up to 30% of the time both international and domestic.
