The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the overall efficient operations of the Convention Sales & Service Department. Provide effective and professional coordination and servicing of assigned group events. Support the full lifecycle of groups, meetings and events management from first contact or RFP through delivery and billing. Maintain quality service standards as set forth within the department and Seven Feathers Policies and ensure customer satisfaction. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Prepare organized and detailed information of group events using the Sales & Catering Program and other programs as needed which may include: creating diagrams, banquet event orders, managing bookings and origination Sales Agreements and Contracts.Ensure continual improvement and quality guest service with strong focus on the guest experience.Oversee and/or attend the setup and commencement of assigned events and meetings.Conduct/attend weekly Banquet Event Order meetings with the banquet staff and Sales Associates.Conduct property site inspections with current and prospective clients.Coordinate client events and request with other departments to accommodate and provide exemplary service of the account.Perform administrative duties deemed necessary for client account maintenance which may include: setting up information for billing; processing and posting payments, reconciling, perform invoices to folios and closing final account folio. Maintain organized client files and archive of correspondence.Maintain a clean and organized work space.Return both client and in-house phone calls and emails in a timely manner.Maintain strict confidentiality when handling any information that is received.Apprise the Sales Manager of all business affairs pertinent to the successful operation of the Sales and Services areas.Attend trade shows, outside sales calls, sales blitzes, and other sales related functions to drive catering and hotel business for the resort. Requirements Associate’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business or related field preferred.2 years of banquet, hotel front office, or catering experience required.Banquet experience strongly preferred.Three years of Sales experience strongly preferred.Experience with Sales/Catering/Hotel property management software preferred. Experience with Visual One/Agilysys PMS strongly preferred.Must be able to work variable shifts.Must be able to work 4 or more hours on your feet.21 years of age or older.Current OLCC license, Food Handlers Certificate required after hire.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Proven ability to initiate new and existing customer contacts through cold calls.Demonstrated organizational and planning skills, ensuring small details are not overlooked.Advanced computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as data base or hospitality management information system experience preferred.Team Members must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance at all times. (specific standards available.Able to obtain a Class III Gaming License.Current and valid Drivers License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC’s Drivers Program.
