About the RoleWe are seeking a well-connected, results-driven Group Sales Manager with in-market experience to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Sales team. This role is pivotal in driving group sales, building strong client relationships, and maximizing revenue opportunities. Key Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Client Engagement Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel through compelling sales presentations and written proposals. Conduct on-site property tours for potential clients to showcase our offerings. Manage and develop relationships with past, current, and prospective clients to generate repeat and new business. Leadership & Team Development Interview, hire, and train high-performing sales team members. Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed. Foster a collaborative and high-energy team culture that drives results. Sales Strategy & Execution Handle all aspects of account management, ensuring smooth solicitation and closing processes. Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution. Travel locally for sales calls, client meetings, and competitor analysis. Represent the hotel at trade shows, setting up exhibits and engaging potential clients. Communication & Organization Develop and deliver persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and client updates. Maintain clear and open communication with both clients and internal teams. Comply with company attendance and availability requirements. Compensation BreakdownThis position is overtime eligible, meaning that for each week:
The first 40 hours are paid at the regular hourly rate. The additional 5 hours are paid at 1.5x overtime rate.For example, if you are offered $115,000 annually, your earnings would break down as follows:
Regular hourly rate: $44.44/hour Overtime hourly rate: $66.67/hour Weekly earnings (based on 45-hour week): 40 hours × $44.44 = $1,777.60 5 hours × $66.67 = $333.35 Total weekly pay: $2,110.95 Annualized earnings with OT: $115,000This structure ensures that with a consistent 45-hour workweek, your total annual earnings will align with the offered salary.
