The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking qualified and enthusiastic Group Supervisor Assistant to join our Forensic Services team within the Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) Division of the agency. As a Group Supervisor Assistant, you will assist in managing and supervising Forensic Services programs in their provision of services to all patients and staff as well as provide On Duty Supervisor services to the facility. This position will be the primary conduit between the Executive-on-Call and what is happening on the campus during that shift. This position will be available for the scheduling office staff to review staffing and give authority for managing staffing changes needed on a day-to-day basis. The Forensic Services campus in St. Peter is comprised of the Forensic Mental Health Program and the Forensic Nursing Home. Forensic Services provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment. **Minimum Qualifications** One (1) year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential, or corrective environment OR • Two (2) years lead work or professional experience in a therapeutic, residential, or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs OR • Three (3) years paraprofessional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field may be substituted for six (6) months of experience OR one (1) year of supervisory experience may be substituted for a maximum of 6 months of experience, OR an equivalent combination of the above. **Preferred Qualifications** Experience working with patients/clients with sexual psychopathic personalities, sexually dangerous persons, mentally ill and dangerous, or with developmental disabilities. • Our employees are dedicated to ensuring cultural responsiveness.
