The Opportunity
Our Group Underwriting team is going through a period of exciting change and have recently welcomed exceptional new leadership to our area. We are now looking to bring on experienced Underwriters to continue to drive this change as we have opportunities available in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
Within these roles you will be responsible for placing risk business through the consistent assessment of life assurance applications within the agreed AIA guidelines, quality standards and service levels, thereby ensuring that premiums charged are equitable to the risk and are sustainable throughout the life of the policy.
To do this successfully you will:
Complete underwriting assessments within personal authority levels
Achieve service level, productivity, and quality targets
Approval of referrals within authority level
Active participation in phone queue management, and tele-underwriting protocols
Act as a strong adviser and demonstrate high level communication and relationship building skills
Develop and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders
Actively collaborating with distribution in the management of key underwriting accounts
Successful applications will demonstrate:
Group underwriting experience within the life insurance industry
The ability to demonstrate best practice in Underwriting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work autonomously
Sound product knowledge
Strong medical and financial knowledge
