This exciting opportunity will allow you to work directly with targeted children and young people to develop their personal and social skills, by engaging them through the delivery of interventions. You will get the opportunity to be creative; assisting in the design, development and delivery of structured interventions with young people, to minimise the risk of reoffending or entering the Criminal Justice System. Examples of these interventions include the #Filter and Status group work programmes. These programmes support young people to understand behaviours, emotions and relationships; as well as develop skills and strategies to help manage difficult situations; maintain healthy and positive relationships; and reduce or prevent aggression and violence. You will also work closely with colleagues from Children’s Services and the Future4Me Team – and multiagency partners.
There are five, permanent relief posts available. While these are considered to be zero hour contracts, staff are currently working between 6 – 8 hours per week and are based countywide.
