What will I be doing?
As Group, Meeting and Events (GM&E) Manager, you will manage the Groups, Conference and Events Sales office to actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales. The Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Manager will interact frequently with customers and Guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\n\n· Maximise all Group, Conference, and Event revenue opportunities
\n· Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets
\n· Check P&L of every group, meeting and event to ensure that profitability targets are achieved.
\n· Define Groups, meeting & events strategy together with the Commercial Director.
\n· Responsible to the Groups Forecast and identify risk and opportunities for the year.
\n· Create action plan to minimize risk and maximize opportunity months.
\n· Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy
\n· Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
\n· Visit the customer with the Sales Team to guarantee the success of the biggest groups and events
\n· Team work and total cooperation with the Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure that the entire sales process is completed and up to date
\n· Ensure the Group, Meeting and Events Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
\n· Manage and develop the Group, Meeting and Events Sales Team Members to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company
\n· Organize hotel group promotional activities together with the Sales Department
\n· Review rates, groups, deadlines and waiting lists.
\n· Review commission reports for groups, events and Food and Drinks.
\n· To be part of special activities in coordination with Sales Office.
\n· Make sure that all the request should be answered in 24 hours.
\n· Keep yourself informed about the clients and engage the relationship with them
\n· To keep a nice work environment and good communication in the department and also with the other departments in the hotel to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and ensuring customer/guest satisfaction
\n· Comply with the stipulated times and adapt to changes according to the hotel's operation’s needs
\n\nWhat are we looking for?
A Group, Conference and Events Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
· Demonstrated previous managerial experience in Conference and Events Sales function in the hotel sector.
\n· Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
\n· Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
\n· Excellent selling capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team
\n· Excellent organizational and planning skills
\n· Accountable and resilient
\n· Ability to work under pressure
\n· Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
\n· Fluent in English written and spoken.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
· Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
\n· Previous experience in the same or similar role
\n· Understanding of Revenue Management & Forecasting process.
