**This is a full-time temporary position working M-F, 7am-3:30pm. There is some travel involved with this position.** **Job Purpose or Objective(s):** To provide the Growing Hope Program with thoughtful assistance in helping to grow out Choctaw heritage plants, in preserving and sharing their seeds, and in sharing knowledge about traditional agriculture and traditional food with the Choctaw community. **Primary Tasks:** 1. Work with the Growing Hope Manager to plant, harvest, manage plants and seed stocks. 2. Inspect plants for pest and plant nutrition problems. 3. Maintain sanitary growing conditions in assigned areas. 4. Collect and record data, inform of specific pest or plant or plant nutrition problems. 5. Mail or otherwise distribute seeds from the Growing Hope program to Choctaw growers. 6. Assist with community classes and presentations. 7. Work with interns and external partners 8. Perform other duties necessary as assigned.
