GS Customs Team Manager

Your knowledge, expertise and distinct skillsets will play a vital role in driving the organization’s growth. **Your Role** The purpose of the job is to lead a team of team leads and operators in the Customs Department, who is performing tasks and supporting operations of KN internal clients. Team leader is 100% of working time people manager. **Your Responsibilities** + Maintain (planning, tracking and reporting) employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, paid leaves and cover for absenteeism + Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees + Inducting new Employees into the team, providing efficient and effective knowledge management in agreement with the + Trainer and Direct Manager. Inducting new Employees to new procedures and tasks in agreement with the Proces Specialist and Direct Manager + Coach, mentor, and develop staff and providing career development planning and opportunities + Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback + Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the team to succeed + Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning + Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment **Your Skills and Experiences** + Professional education or degree in Customs or Logistics/Supply Chain + Has project management and leadership experience + Experience in Sea, Air, Overland and Customs compiling is preferred + Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills + Interpersonal and relationship-building skills + Has delegation, problem-solving and time management skills **Good Reasons to Join** We are looking for individuals with an eye for details and a passion for risk management.
