GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Mechanic IV - San Antonio

Performs accessory repair and overhaul, including cleaning, tearing down, inspecting and rebuilding using appropriate tooling as required by Maintenance manuals, drawings, service bulletins and work instructions, to ensure air worthiness.

§ Performs disassembly and cleaning of units

§ Performs minor repair operations, such as flushing, grit blasting, vapor degreasing, using basic machining equipment

§ Performs initial planning on SRO according to customer specifications, OEM manual requirements, service bulletins, DER repairs and other applicable work instructions

§ Maintains a minimum 80% billable percentage

§ Monitors material shelf-life; collects and properly disposes out-of-date material

§ Maintains a safe and audit-ready work area

§ Performs other duties as assigned· GSE mechanic performs a variety of repairs and services to maintain Non-Powered ground support equipment. · Servicing: Various aircraft entry stands, Nitrogen Oxygen Carts, Aircraft Jacks of all styles, Utility trailers, Hoists, Weapons dollies, Coolant servicing carts, Vacuum testers, Fuel bowsers and barrels, Hydraulic fluid servicing carts, ETC…· Able to read, understand, interpret, and follow blueprints, drawings, technical orders, and work cards.· Basic understanding of hydraulics, mechanics, troubleshooting, pneumatics. · Able to learn how to operate a tire changing machine.· Able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions accordingly. · Ability to set up and operate a variety of hand and power tools.· Coordinate with supervisor and supply department on purchasing required parts. · Support logistics team as necessary (Internal footprint)
