Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations.

The following are essential to the job, in addition to those listed above and on the chart in this description. Certain functions may be performed in varying weather and environmental conditions, such as precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. The tasks are performed inside and outside near stationary and moving aircraft (including spinning propellers and engines).
+ Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations.
+ Check and service ground support equipment with fuel, water, oil and hydraulic fluid.
+ Quality control oversight for aircraft tow bar and tow heads
+ Clean shop and return tools to proper location.
+ Completion of GSE paperwork as required.
+ Keep logs of work and report on issues
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Assist Lead GSE Mechanic with:**
+ Troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul ground support equipment.
+ Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
+ Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
+ Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
+ Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
+ Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
+ Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
+ Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users.
To qualify for this position, applicants and those in the roles must have:
+ Minimum of 18 years of age.
+ High School diploma or GED plus one (1) year experience.
+ Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
+ Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge, and be insurable by the company’s applicable insurance policies.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
+ Previous GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of various mechanical equipment required.
+ Must provide all tools required to perform essential job functions.
