GTM Strategy & Operations Director

The Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy & Operations Director team plays a critical role in driving the firm's growth strategy by developing and executing market-focused initiatives. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer, and is responsible for partnering with senior leadership, including Regional and Market Managing Partners, to design and implement data-driven strategies that expand market presence, optimize operational efficiency, and improve revenue generation across service lines.
The GTM Strategy & Ops Director will lead strategic projects from inception to execution, focusing on market analysis, competitive positioning, and process optimization while ensuring alignment with the firm’s overall business objectives. This role requires expertise in managing complex projects, guiding organizational change, and influencing cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed professional services environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking capabilities, operational expertise, and change management skills, alongside exceptional data analysis, communication, and leadership abilities. As a key internal advisor, the GTM Strategy & Ops Director may also mentor other team members, promote best practices in GTM strategy execution, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's market strategy frameworks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Strategy Development and Execution:
+ Lead the design, development, and execution of go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth across service lines.
+ Develop market analysis and competitive intelligence frameworks to identify new business opportunities.
+ Collaborate with leadership to prioritize strategic initiatives and align them with firmwide objectives.
+ Operational Excellence and Process Improvement:
+ Drive operational improvements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process enhancements within the GTM framework.
+ Implement standardized methodologies, tools, and templates for market strategy execution.
+ Oversee the creation and management of performance dashboards, KPIs, and success metrics for GTM initiatives
+ Leadership and Stakeholder Management:
+ Partner with senior leadership, including Partners and Market Managing Partners, to influence decision-making on strategic priorities.
+ Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between industry, solution, and market leaders to ensure alignment.
+ Act as a strategic advisor to business units, providing insights and recommendations for market penetration and growth.
+ Project Management and Delivery:
+ Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery of strategy initiatives and operational enhancements.
+ Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation models for GTM strategy rollouts.
+ Ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables, including presentations, reports, and strategic frameworks.
+ Data-Driven Insights and Reporting:
+ Lead the collection, analysis, and synthesis of data to support decision-making and measure the effectiveness of GTM strategies.
+ Deliver executive-level reporting, including insights on market trends, client segments, and competitive positioning.
+ Develop data visualization tools and reporting dashboards for real-time performance monitoring.
+ Team Development and Coaching:
+ Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering professional growth and skill development.
+ Lead by example in demonstrating consulting best practices, critical thinking, and executive communication skills.
+ Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the ICS team.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Skilled in stakeholder communication, managing resistance, and ensuring strategic shifts are embedded effectively across teams and leadership levels.
+ Leadership, Influence, and Stakeholder Management: Skilled in influencing senior leadership, including Partners and Market Managing Partners, while driving collaboration across diverse teams. Capable of facilitating strategic conversations, building alignment in a matrixed environment, and managing complex stakeholder dynamics.
+ Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in quantitative analysis, data synthesis, and performance reporting. Capable of leveraging data visualization tools and financial modeling to support business decisions, measure GTM impact, and identify areas for optimization.
+ Project Management and Execution Excellence: Demonstrates mastery in managing large, multi-phase projects with competing priorities. Capable of creating structured project plans, ensuring timely delivery of strategic initiatives, and maintaining accountability across multiple workstreams.
+ Communication and Talent Development: Exceptional ability to distill complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences. Skilled in developing high-impact presentations, reports, and whitepapers while mentoring junior team members and fostering a high-performance consulting culture.
Qualifications and Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree (MBA a plus).
+ 10+ plus years of experience, five plus years working at professional services/B2B companies in a client-facing capacity is required.
+ Background in strategy or operational performance.
+ Advanced skills with Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
+ Ability to initiate and lead crucial conversations and influence strategies and decisions of stakeholders and colleagues.
+ Highly collaborative and able to work within and through a team to achieve stated goals.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY offices only is between $202,500 and $337,500 per year.
