We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of GTU Analyst

Role Purpose:

The role will be based Mexico City as part of the Global Tax Utility for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) under CIB Operations and spans Mexico and Latin America.

This position will support all Client Tax Reporting activities covering both The Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) ensuring CIB is compliant with the regulations. This role will mainly cover the validation and approval of customer classifications and Self-certifications, as well as comply with global and local regulatory reporting needs supporting CIB Client Tax reporting and Business including operational, reporting and governance activities.

The role holder will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders which includes Client Lifecycle Management, Data Quality, Business Risk and Commercial Businesses of CIB to ensure that self-certification formats and outcomes are met.

Main Activities:

Have knowledge about Tax Evasion, FATCA CRS, and Global Local policies and procedures of the CIB line of business.Willingness to work as a team.Skills and abilities: Observer, meticulous, detailed in the reading, with the ability to discern the affectation and / or consequence that the findings may have, ability to adapt to future changes and commitment to grant high-quality work.Correct administration and monitoring of workloads.Ability to work on tight deadlines and under pressure.Review and analyse customer information vs commercial activity so valid challenge can be made, when applicable, to ensure information is correctly collected.Manage and monitor the actions emanating from the review to ensure compliance with local regulations and global procedures.Apply compliance and operational risk controls, in accordance with company and regulatory standards, policies and practices, report control weaknesses, compliance violations, and operational loss events.Keep up to date with an understanding of systems, policies, procedures, and regulations.Maintain a clear inventory GTU activities for audit purposes.
