Role Mission
The Gucci Assistant Buyer is responsible to assist the buying activities with client centric focus, tailor the assortment for each store, and ensure seamless cross-functional in-season cooperation with other departments to support brand objectives and maximize sales and sell-through. The Assistant Buyer should be passionate, innovative, creative, and bring a unique perspective to the table.
Key Accountabilities
Work closely with Buyer Manager to learn and absorb strategies and support spreading the message.Provide weekly business recap to share key takeaways, business trends and areas of opportunity.Provide weekly SKU productivity with actionable strategy proposals such as reorders, consolidations, product pushes and open order cancellations.Prepare for upcoming selling campaign by managing the compilation of seasonal Buy Prep books with detailed and innovative reporting.Assist manager in market by supporting the selection process, managing the pricing of seasonal line sheet, identifying store distribution, order entry and sizing (post-market) in Color system.Update and compile all recaps provided by WW Merchandising in a timely manner in preparation for final buy review.Manage all post-market recaps.Continuous dialogue with in-store teams (management and sales associates) to establish a constant feedback loop and empower teams to bring Merchandising goals to fruition.Provide coverage for department while Buyer is in the market, so all business needs are met in a timely manner.Meet with dedicated department inventory planner on a weekly basis to align on stock rebalancing based on market trends, sell-thru, special events and specific client request.Assist buyer with updating CDPP matrix on a seasonal basis to plan store-level assortment strategies and understand if there are stronger replacements offered within seasonal newness.Execute quarterly competitive product and pricing analysis to identify product opportunities.Conduct Merchandising analysis in preparation for store visits (sales to stock ratio, best sellers, cross selling, UPT’s, multi department store visit report), shares insights with buyer.Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance, or related discipline.A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant buying experience gained within a fashion and/or luxury environment.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Fluent in Spanish and English.Must be organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.Flexibility to travel with short notice domestically and internationally - amount to be determined based on the needs of the business.Able to work a demanding schedule, which can include on an ad-hoc basis evenings, weekends, and holidays.Work Authorization.
