Guest Room Attendant
DescriptionEssential Duties And Responsibilities Push, pull and turn a 50-70 pound linen card, when loaded. Change bed linen while bending and tucking in sheets and blankets under mattress. The weight of the mattress depends upon the size (king, queen, double, etc.). Supply guests with extra linen upon request. Dust and polish furniture using household cleaners, reaching up to 6 feet high. Sanitize and scrub bathtub, sink, toilet, and floor while kneeling/stretching/bending. Lift a 15-18 pound vacuum cleaner and vacuum guest room. Move furniture in a room as necessary, weighing up to 15 pounds. Load linen cart, which requires bending and reaching 6 feet high and lifting roughly 7 pounds per linen bundle. Walk extensively to and from employee entrance, Housekeeping Department, and assigned stations. Knock on guest doors and announce their presence before entering a room. Communicate with guests, Executive Housekeeper and Security personnel. Remove Room Service tables, and trays from guest rooms and put into hallway. Must be able to wear a mask during shift. Other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. All employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire safety regulations. Regular attendance required and overtime required.

Educations And/Or Experience

Six months to one year related experience in a casino, and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

Basic computer knowledge.

Reasoning Ability

Planning, remembering details, reading, making decision, discriminating color, working at various tempos, concentrating amid distractions, examining & observing details.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending/stooping, kneeling, carrying, observing, stretching, lifting 50 pounds, pushing, turning, hearing, balancing, and observing.

Work Environment

Inside, odors, hazards, dirty, gloves, chemical, cleaning products.
