Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishing’s, Turkish artworks and stunning murals inspired by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire. The resort offers 405 rooms and suites, 38 Royal Residences and the award-winning Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious spas in the Middle East. The resort offers Sinbad’s Kids Club complete with splash park, performing art destination Zabeel Theatre and a collection of diverse restaurants which offer a vibrant selection of culinary experiences. The resort also offers motorized and non-motorized water sports, complete with private jetty offering shuttle boat transfers to and from the mainland of Dubai.

 

About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Guest Services Executive to join our Concierge team at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

Greeting guests upon arrival and providing a warm, personalized welcome. Offering tailored recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, tours, shopping, and entertainment based on guest preferences. Assisting guests with transportation arrangements (e.g., airport transfers, taxis, private drivers). Coordinating and managing guest requests such as dinner reservations, event tickets, spa appointments, or any special requirements. Assisting guests with luggage and providing bell service upon arrival and departure. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the hotel’s services, facilities, and special events to provide accurate information to guests. Keeping informed about local events, dining options, cultural attractions, and shopping destinations to offer guests the best advice. Acting as a local expert for guests, offering insights into local customs, historical sites, and hidden gems Handling special requests and needs for VIPs and high-profile guests, ensuring that their stay is smooth and enjoyable. Coordinating personalized experiences such as private tours, exclusive event access, or bespoke travel arrangements. Anticipating guest needs and preferences by maintaining guest profiles and records of their past stays or requests. Coordinating with other hotel departments (housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage) to ensure that guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner. Acting as a liaison between guests and external vendors (e.g., tour companies, transportation services). Managing communication with guests to confirm reservations, follow up on requests, or provide updates regarding services. Keeping accurate records of guest requests, complaints, and feedback for reporting and future service improvement. Assisting with budgeting or tracking expenses related to guest services (e.g., transport, tickets, or special event arrangements). Preparing daily reports on guest interactions, special requests, and satisfaction levels for the front office and management. Promoting the hotel’s services, amenities, and activities to guests, such as restaurant dining, spa treatments, or events. Encouraging guests to upgrade services or book additional experiences that enhance their stay.  

About you: 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Diploma or degree, in hospitality management, tourism, or related field Certifications in concierge services or guest relations (e.g., from Les Clefs d'Or) are a plus and demonstrate commitment to the profession. 2-4 years of experience as a concierge, guest service executive, or in a similar position in a 4- or 5-star hotel. A strong background in luxury guest services and providing personalized service is crucial. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are often highly valued, particularly Russian and German, given the diverse nature of international guests. A service-oriented attitude with the ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations. Expertise in local restaurants, attractions, cultural events, shopping, and entertainment to offer valuable recommendations. Experience using hotel systems (Opera Cloud) for booking services, making reservations, and guest information management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage email communication.
