Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring for Propulsion Engineers (Associate) to perform propulsion system support and analysis on the F-15EX, MQ-25 and T-7 Red Hawk and other proprietary programs in Berkeley, MO!  The statement of work will include development, integration, and qualification projects.

The Flight Systems Engineering Capability is an exciting organization in Boeing Defense, Space & Security responsible for performing Flight Engineering across a large portfolio of products and development programs. Position Responsibilities:

Assist in defining Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements and ensure requirements traceability and quality from the system level to component levelUse multidisciplinary model data (aero, mass properties, propulsion, etc.) to develop and refine a complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation modelSupport design of flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques and tools to achieve design and performance targetsUse advanced nonlinear analysis to assess and refine the control law designPerform model validation against test data to inform and improve the accuracy of the simulation environmentDevelop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to properly bound the performance within all areas of the flight envelopeWork with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software engineers to incorporate control laws into the operational flight programSupport flight simulations, hardware in the loop testing, and flight testingParticipate in design reviews, analyses, simulations and component/system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. 

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceBachelor degree and 2+ years of related work experience OR a Master’s degree and combination of technical education and experience.Experience with Guidance Navigation and Control engineeringExperience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Active U.S. Security ClearanceExperience with simulation, system and component modelingExperience with implementing algorithms in real time systemsHardware in the Loop Simulator (HILS) experiencePrior experience in flight test support

Typical Education / Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $82,450 – $111,550
