**Job Location: Chicago, IL**
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Lead the design development and implementation of the DataHub platform.
+ This includes selecting appropriate technologies and tools defining data models and schemas and ensuring data lineage and quality.
+ Drive data governance initiatives.
+ Define and enforce data quality standards manage data access controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
+ Promote data literacy and self-service data access.
+ Educate and empower business users to effectively discover, know and utilize data.
+ Collaborate with data engineers data scientists and business stakeholders.
+ Gather requirements translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure alignment across the organization.
+ Monitor and maintain the DataHub platform.
+ Ensure optimal performance identify and resolve issues and continuously improve the platform's functionality and usability.
+ Stay abreast of the latest data management technologies and best practices.
+ Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and techniques to enhance the DataHub and improve data operations.
+ Mentor and guide data professionals. Share knowledge and expertise provide guidance and support and foster a culture of continuous learning.
**Required Skills**
+ Experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer Data Architect or a similar role.
+ Strong understanding of data warehousing data lake architectures and data integration principles.
+ Experience with data cataloging tools (e.g. DataHub Amundsen) is highly preferred.
+ Hands-on experience with data modeling data quality assessment and data lineage tracking.
+ Proficiency in SQL Python and other relevant programming languages.
+ Experience with cloud platforms.
+ GCP is a plus.
+ Excellent communication collaboration and presentation skills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
