Guidewire Solutions Architect – Assistant Vice President - English

Inviting applications for the role of Guidewire Solutions Architect – Assistant Vice President - English

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and customizing software solutions for our clients in the PC industry. You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, configure Guidewire applications to meet their needs, and provide guidance on best practices for utilizing Guidewire products within their current technology architecture.

Responsibilities

Implementation: Lead the implementation of Guidewire software solutions, including Policy Center, Claim Center, and Billing Center, according to client requirements and project timelines.

Configuration: Configure Guidewire applications to meet client-specific business rules, workflows, and data models. Customize user interfaces, screens, and reports as needed. Prepares detailed specifications or design which programs will be written.

Integration: Collaborate with client teams and third-party vendors to integrate Guidewire applications with external systems, such as legacy platforms, data warehouses, and third-party services.

Custom Development: Develop custom extensions and integrations using Guidewire Studio, and other programming languages, as necessary. Write and maintain Guidewire-specific code to enhance system functionality.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to client stakeholders, including business users, system administrators, and developers. Create user guides, training materials, and knowledge base articles to facilitate user adoption and troubleshooting.

Project Management: Work closely with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. Help identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including configuration guides, solution design documents, and release notes. Ensure documentation is kept up to date with system changes and enhancements.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Relevant years of experience working with Guidewire software, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.

Proficiency in configuring and customizing Guidewire applications, including Policy Center, Claim Center, and Billing Center.

Strong experience in Guidewire, Java, RESTful APIs, Web services and J2EE development.

Strong understanding of insurance industry concepts, processes, and regulations.

Experience with Guidewire integration technologies, such as JMS, Web Services, and XML.

In-depth knowledge in coding standards, review process, branching and merging strategies, DevOps, and Guidewire best practices.

Performance monitoring and tuning.

Hands-on experience in Guidewire application configuration (clustering, database configurations)

Experience with Guidewire insurance suites.

Experience in any public cloud.

Awareness with DeVops CI/CD Process.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

Guidewire certifications (e.g., Guidewire ACE Certified Professional) necessary.

Excellent problem solver, hyper logical and goal-oriented thinker. 

Excellent communication interpersonal skills – verbal and written.

Excellent presentation skills – in person virtually. 

Ability to work effectively in team environments. 

Able to create maintain relationships easily. 

Ability to thrive in ambiguity. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Experience with Guidewire v10

Core Java /J2EE Enterprise (Spring Boot, Webservices, and Rest Services)

Experience with SQL entities

Configuration (Product Model, Ratings, Forms) and Integration (With third party vendors or into other guidewire suites Billing Claims)

Ability to code/configure, unit test, review code, debug, document, and maintain complex software applications, in an environment that continuously introduces leading-edge technologies
