ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s Tampa and Sarasota, FL offices is looking for a talented intern to join our team for Summer 2025 to support our Land Development, Transportation, Planning & Design, and Environmental teams. The intern program is designed to round out participants’ academic learning with real world experience and help them explore related areas of practice to find the best fit for their career path. This position will be based out of our Tampa office with opportunity to travel to the Sarasota office as needed.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely mannerAssist in development of planning and engineering solutionsAssist in data mining and visualization Perform analysis of data or calculations Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activitiesPrepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reportsSkills and Attributes
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsTeam oriented with strong capability to work independentlySelf-motivated with attention to detailA strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieveKnowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GISKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) requiredQualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture, environmental science, GIS, or a related fieldHiring Salary Range: $19/hr - $26/hr . The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
