JOB SUMMARY


The GVP, Carrier, Partner & VAR Sales leads and develops a national team of sales professionals to achieve both enterprise sales objectives for the Carrier, Partner and VAR channels as well as operational goals relating to sales leadership, strategic planning and execution, and the effective application of sales methodologies, processes and tools. Partners with the senior executive team to continually identify, develop and execute upon strategic initiatives that drive revenue generation within available segment market opportunities. Collaborates with other sales leaders to influence go-to-market strategies, compensation models, product service price points, product recommendations and production of competitive analysis are additional priorities.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Lead, build and manage three sales channels, including: the Channel Partner segment responsible for the indirect distribution strategy and growing business through authorized sales agents; the Value Added Reseller business responsible for portfolio growth, enablement strategy, and strategic alliances; and the Carrier and Mobile Back Haul business responsible for ensuring wholesale strategies are developed and executed.

Hire, lead and develop sales management and sales representatives to ensure a high performing sales channel with a team culture that fuels programmatic execution, data driven results, and has a customer-first mindset.

Develop and execute the Indirect sales strategy and institute best in class business build planning, account management, forecasting and reporting processes; ensure client network modernization and seller effectiveness are aggressively supported.

Provide competitive analysis to ensure that sales strategies and tactics are responsive and effective in a rapidly changing competitive environment, and manage sales and sales activity performance, segment build, sales distribution strategy and budgets.

Collaborate with other sales and business leaders to identify prospective client demand, influence marketing strategies applied to client lifecycle and retention, and identify service price points and product recommendations.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to lead, build and develop a large, multi-level sales team responsible for multiple segments and business channels.

Ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and through formal presentations across all organizational levels and audiences, both internally and with external customers and vendors.

Ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate and build strong relationships with both internal stakeholder groups and as well as customers outside of the organization.

Ability to develop and articulate the sales strategy for own channels and to lead large-scale change initiatives.

Ability to achieve sales objectives in highly competitive technology sales environments.

Ability to understand the customer’s needs and perspectives.

Ability to identify and encourage high performance from team members.

Highly proficient in Enterprise products, technologies and services, including Network and Managed Services.

Proficient in finance and accounting, in particular with respect to understanding business results and developing and presenting business plans.

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Enterprise / business sales experience – 12 years

Sales team leadership experience – 10 years
