Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Responsible for safely removing finished products and waste from the press lines and packaging and storing or disposing them as needed. This position is also largely responsible for the handling of all waste products in the facility. Responsibilities include assisting department leads with the execution of the daily departmental plans.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifying and communicating Warehouse safety concerns or potential unsafe work practices or conditions and developing remedies or solutions. Properly loading and unloading all materials shipped and received via truck or rail. Responsible for shredding, baling, storage, and loading of all wastepaper and products. Properly wrap, secure, and label all finished product skids and place in designated storage locations either on the floor or in storage racking. Maintain accurate processing of paperwork and computer entry. Responsible for accuracy assurance with product storage location. 50%Staging both full truck and LTL loads, responsible for timely removal of finished product from press lines. Properly identifying damaged paper shipments and completing damaged paper reports. Communicates with pressroom personnel regarding the need or concerns of paper. Accurate paper pulling and delivery to press. 20%Assist with monitoring paper inventory levels, white paper waste initiatives, and accuracy of outbound shipments. Record all pertinent information on the daily Warehouse Material Handler Reports and submit to Warehouse Team Lead. Identify any inventory supply level needs to appropriately perform job functions. Responsible for identifying Warehouse Lean Process opportunities and driving continuous improvement in the department. 20%Providing assistance with the development of new Warehouse Product Handlers or temporary associates. Assistance with the coordination and follow-up of 5S Warehouse activity and overall Warehouse housekeeping and orderliness. Responsible for the execution of department and position best practices. Communicates with pressroom personnel regarding the need of packaging materials or waste receptacles. Contribute to Shift Start Meetings (SSM) for the effective execution of the daily shift plan. Responsible for monitoring and reporting back on the condition and current maintenance needs of all department equipment including lift trucks, baler, MSK, and docks.
