· · Design, develop, implement, and support interactive web based portals (in Java) for the delivery of key reporting/data analysis both internally and to company partners
· Support, maintain, and enhance the company's Hadoop cluster
· Work with report developers to display their reports/content on web portals
· Design and develop front end logic to support the execution of queries against Hadoop and RDBMS's
· Building portals/front end applications that allow users to access reports/data that pass queries to a database/file system or display canned reports generated from other applications, such as Tableau
· Integrate reports from multiple streams to single web portal
· Interface with various user groups to assess requirements and design robust solutions to meet them
· Development experience in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence
· Experience with Hadoop Big Data clusters, including:Data Transformation and File Processing using Pig Latin or other scripting language
· Apply advanced knowledge in performance troubleshooting and tuning Hadoop clusters.
· Work with Hadoop stack Map Reduce, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, Hbase and Flume components.
· Setting up, configuring, and monitoring of Hadoop file cluster
· Writing map reduce programs and UDFs for Pig and Hive in Java
· Importing/exporting data using SQOOP, FLUME, or other relevant approach
· Experience with workflow scheduling and monitor tools, such as, Oozie
· Experience in creating tables/views in Hive or other relevant scripting language
· Experience with Cloudera applications a plus
· Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript
· Knowledge of VB.Net or ASP.Net is a plus
· Knowledge of C#.Net is a plus
· Experience authoring queries against RDBMS's or Hadoop file systems
· Understanding of software development process and practices
· Plan and execute on system upgrades for existing Hadoop clusters.
· Develop objects in Hive, PIG, Sqoop, Flume, or HBASE as directed.
· Closely work with Client’s data modelers and data scientists.
· Participate in development/implementation of Client’s Clouderahadoop environment.
· Work with developers to advice on standards and best practices.
· Create and maintain technical documentation.
· Experience with business requirements, technical analysis and design, coding, testing, and implementation of customizations within software environment
· Experience with developing reports, workflows and metrics within software environment
· Knowledge of categorizing and prioritizing analysis and mapping workload for planning and forecasting
· Knowledge of integration points and the order in which these must be executed
