Job Description

What you will be doing:

Perform hair care services including; mens grooming & styling, cutting, styling, blow-drying, hair colouring, conditioning treatments, formal evening designs & weddingsEnsure the proper procedures in the operations of each appointment, welcoming guests and booking reservationsMust follow the LQA (leading quality assurance) standards at all timesAccommodates special requests of guestsMaintains a clean and productive work environment that meets the Alberta Health StandardsAssist with cleaning duties as required for all areas of the spa including the Spa Reception areaMeet JPD (JD Power and Associates) targetsOffer assistance with home care recommendations and prescribing the most beneficial productsProduct training with subsequent sales goals will be assignedPossess excellent communication skills (written and oral) in EnglishHave a passion for people and service excellenceEnsure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiativesAdhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiativesCarry out any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Red Seal qualifications are mandatoryCertification from an accredited School of Hair is requiredAll professional licenses are to be currentCPR and First Aid certification preferredSelf‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisionsAbility to maintain high service levels under pressureAbility to be frequently standing, bending and reaching throughout shiftOccasional lifting and carrying, kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
