Position Summary

A Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Chief Maintenance Engineer in the overall maintenance of the hotel’s building and grounds and the operation of its equipment and basic repairs.  This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe and secure hotel.

Responsibilities

Inspect Hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standardsComplete daily work orders which can include; painting, drywall, door adjustments, minor plumbing and electrical work, HVAC maintenance, etc.)Performing preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basisAssisting in servicing the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals, vacuuming, and cleaning filtersMaintaining and upkeep of the outside of the property (e.g. trash removal, maintenance of cigarette butt removal, cleaning of parking lot, leaf blowing, maintenance of flower pots and boxes, etc.)Assisting with the set up and breakdown of hotel events/meetingsMaintaining Hampton service and product standards

 

Requirements

 Prior maintenance experience is preferred:  painting, repairs, etc.
