 Position Summary

The Guest Services Manager is responsible for leading a department that meets and exceeds all guest expectations, especially during check-in and check-out.

Responsibilities

Training, developing, and counseling all front desk employeesCompleting work schedules for front desk department staff in a timely and effective mannerConducting regular staff meetings and promoting the QTR culture and the core ideologyCommunicating and is knowledgeable of guest satisfaction scoresOperating within budgetary guidelinesPromoting and encouraging team work at all timesMaking sound decisions and identifying problems and offering solutionsDemonstrating knowledge of O&R and brand success plansProviding information to guests about hotel policies, services, and amenitiesResponding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, restaurants, attractions, etc.)Entering/changing reservations information, posting charges to guest rooms, and selling rooms to customersProcessing payments from guests and reviewing and balancing guest accountsInforming housekeeping department about room status/availabilityListening and responding to guests’ requests and complaintsOperating hotel switchboardMaintaining daily logs and balancing shift work and cash drawersMaintaining front desk department audit standardsMonitoring and maintaining property securityResponsible for purchasing, monitoring, and controlling store inventory

Requirements

Prior supervisory experience is preferredPrior hospitality experience is strongly preferredStrong initiative and work ethicPunctual, reliable, and regular attendanceStrong attention to detailCustomer-service orientedStrong multitasking and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills – verbal and writtenExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent time and project management skills
