Job SummaryA handyman, also known as a fixer, handyperson, or handy worker, is a person skilled at a wide range of repairs. These tasks include trade skills, repair work, maintenance work, are both interior and exterior.
Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance Replacing light bulbs Electrical, carpentry, tile repairs, lock and key repairs and fixture installation and removal Responsive to service calls Present a professional appearance and demeanor Minimum Requirements HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and/or holidays Background check and drug screen required Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge Must have at least 5+ years experience in a technical maintenance role Preferred Skills Must possess minimum established Company tool requirements. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language and be understood by others. Reliable vehicle able to carry tools and equipment. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Employees work in the assured management areas of baggage, at repair stations, or at airfields and often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules. Employees will be working with and exposed to the baggage handling system, mechanical parts, and vibration. Employees may be exposed to various noise levels due to aircraft engines and equipment. Employees bend, lean, and frequently reach ladders and scaffolding. Employees are required to regularly speak and hear. Employees are often required to reach with their hands and arms. Employees may be required to perform a variety of activities that could include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing throughout their day. Employees frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with the help of teammates.
