Leidos is currently seeking qualified individuals to support the Hard Target Cell in Camp Humphreys, South Korea. The successful candidate will work as a member of a multi-discipline government contractor team and will conduct intelligence-based engineering analysis and 3D modeling of above and underground structures in denied areas. Work will be performed inside a government facility.
Use finished intelligence reports, unfinished sourced reporting, imagery and engineering expertise to characterize the physical attributes of selected facilities.
Provide engineering-based guidance and judgement through the characterization process to evaluate veracity of source information to support production of accurate, intelligence based, assessments of structural properties of facilities of interest.
Work with a matrixed team of All Source, Imagery, Geotechnical analysts, along with targeting community personnel, to translate characterization assessments in actionable intelligence in the form of physics based 3-D models supporting simulations of weapons effects against facilities of interest.
Brief team members, peers and senior personnel on tactics, techniques, procedures used in the engineering analysis process along with briefings on adversary trends and forecasts.
Provide engineering-based quality and control on automated characterization and vulnerability products. Ensuring products are reasonable and realistic based on engineering expertise and industry best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering based discipline (preferably civil or structural).
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering based discipline (preferably civil or structural) and 8+ years of related engineering experience or Master's and 6+. Also will consider junior officers with less relevant experience, but possess work experience in this technical area. Likewise, we have the capacity to consider a senior qualified engineer with additional experience than listed.
Strong background in analyzing overhead imagery and deriving measurements of observed features and inferring meaning from observed activities.
Familiarity with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to speak to a variety of experience levels and distill complex topics into easily digestible content.
Ability to work in fast paced, high energy environment.
Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI OR a Top-Secret clearance with a current SSBI and ability to quickly obtain a DoD polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning is a strong plus.
Building/Facility construction experience, tunnel or protective structure construction experience is a strong plus.
Working knowledge of geology or geotechnology
3D Modeling and simulation experience
Targeting/Weaponeering/Weapons effects, to include an understanding of how geology influences weaponeering on underground facilities.
Working knowledge of protective engineering or physical force protection measures
Basic understanding of Intelligence Community classification and sourcing standards.
