Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Leader & Hardware Systems Architect / Engineer to design hardware systems for personal computing devices, including laptops, tablets, and mobile solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hardware system design, debugging, optimization, and collaboration across various disciplines. This role requires hands-on expertise in system-level design, prototyping, and mass manufacturing in partnership with contract manufacturing teams. The candidate will be responsible for driving the hardware development process from inception to production, ensuring compliance with certification standards, and enabling seamless integration with open-source and high-speed interface technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

BS/MS in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience15+ years of relevant experience in hardware systems, including client/desktop processors, server processors, mobile processors, video, multimedia, and accelerators, with a focus on system-level design and implementation across the product development lifecycleExpertise in hardware system design solutions, with the ability to select the components needed to realize the product requirementExperience defining and driving team efforts for ID, mechanical design, PCB design interfaces, module subsystem design, and electrical solutions for personal systems (eg, laptops, notebooks, detachable devices, tablets, PoS kiosks)Proficient in hardware debugging and optimization for PnP; experienced in collaborating across teams to triage and debug system issues across various functional modulesOwn the HW compliance Product certification plan, execution internally and certification with the external certified agencyExperience enabling new product designs with contract manufacturing partners, including resolving hardware design issues identified in production linesResponsible for hardware development from inception through prototyping, enabling pilot lots, and mass manufacturing with contract manufacturing partnersHW products developed for laptop, personal system, handheld for Linux/Android OSAbility to work across multiple disciplines (hardware, firmware, software, or development toolchain) to identify risks, facilitate discussions, evaluate system trade-offs, and assess impacts

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of high-volume consumer products (handheld devices, mobile, laptops, desktops), including hardware design, development, support for large-volume manufacturing, and deploymentExperience with high-speed hardware interfaces, including CSI, UART, I2C, PCIe, eMMC, I2S, MIPI DPI, MIPI DSI, SPI, USB, DDR, and HDMIHW products and interface for WWAN, M2 cards 3G/4G/5G LTEIn-depth experience with hardware design and core SoC selection, driving hardware solutionsFamiliarity with personal systems, handheld devices and operations at scaleExperience managing programs through the entire product lifecycleStrong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

Develop the HW architecture design, collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver mature, scalable hardware solutions for mass productionBuild and lead a team of hardware architects, driving people management to foster growth and achieve project goalsPartner with stakeholders across functions to ensure delivery aligns with requirements, providing continuous support and updatesDrive the achievement of thermal and hardware power goals, ensuring alignment with system specifications and performance targetsMaintain hardware stability throughout development, prototyping, and production, implementing corrective actions as neededOversee compliance and certification, managing the certification plan and coordination with external certified agencies
