Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree with 2-5 years of experience, though new graduates with significant hands-on experience in school projects are also encouraged to apply. This role requires a Mechanical Engineer with programming experience or a Computer Engineer with hardware experience.
Responsibilities
+ Programming, hardware selection, and integration
+ Microcontroller programming (TI, Arduino, etc.)
+ PCB layout using a PCB design tool (we use Altium)
+ Sensor and actuator selection, verification, and integration
+ Development and testing of an ultrasound-based underwater proximity and water immersion detection system
+ Hardware and firmware development for physiological monitoring via various sensors (impedance, ECG, etc.)
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
+ 2-5 years of experience in hardware engineering (new graduates with significant experience in school projects are welcome)
+ Experience with microcontroller programming (TI, Arduino, etc.)
+ Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium preferred)
+ Experience with sensor and actuator selection, verification, and integration
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with hardware design and R&D testing
+ Proficiency in MATLAB
+ Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
+ Ability to work on and bid for projects of interest
+ Passion for research and innovation
Work Environment
You will be working in a Contract Research Organization focused primarily on contract work, supporting the Biotech group. The environment consists of both office and lab spaces, providing a highly technical and multidisciplinary setting.
